Dolan Street

A 1,000 SF model for carbon free housing & transportation for the Taos workforce. This project is meant to examine the energy transition the city of Taos needs to accomplish through 2030 by providing built examples for people to experience the comfort and resilience of carbon- free living.

  • These houses are built to make a difference by addressing our most pressing environmental problem – climate change. The houses are –
  • Super energy-efficient and built to passive house standards;
  • Emission-free and all-electric;
  • Heated and cooled by air-source heat pumps, the most efficient method of
    heating;
  • Built for healthy living with whole house air exchange systems;
  • Powered by solar energy from the grid supplemented by rooftop solar and
    solar storage systems;
  • Equipped with Electric Vehicle (EV) charging systems;
  • Efficiently designed for one or two person households;
  • Can be inexpensive to operate.
