Emerald Hills House

Project Overview: New Residence and ADU Design

In this project, the client acquired an adjacent vacant lot with the intention of replacing the existing house with an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) and a newly designed primary residence. The new house will encompass 4,600 square feet, while the ADU will provide an additional 800 square feet, creating a thoughtfully planned living environment.

Designed for a couple and their two adult children, this residence is envisioned as the owner’s retirement home, combining comfort and functionality for an evolving family dynamic.

Key Design Features:

  • Infinity Pool: An infinity pool serves as a stunning visual element, enhancing the outdoor space and providing a seamless transition between the landscape and the Bay beyond.
  • Roof Deck: A roof deck atop the ADU extends the backyard experience, offering panoramic views of the Bay and creating an ideal space for relaxation and entertainment.

This design prioritizes both family connection and individual privacy while embracing the natural beauty of the surrounding environment. The integration of these elements reflects a commitment to creating a serene and functional home for the owners as they transition into this new chapter of their lives.
